Learn More About Power Spreaders

Have a lawn spreader-related question? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • Do I want the 4-wheel package?

Two rear wheels increase stability, which is optimal if you plan on transporting the unit by trailer or are concerned about the operator spilling fertilizer.

The National Association of Landscape Professionals estimates that about 78% of U.S. adults have a home with either landscaping or a lawn. To discuss what spreader is the best option for your home, from our gas spreaders to our walk behind motorized spreaders, contact Power Spreaders today!

  • What advantage does the 3-wheel spreader have?

The original 3-wheel powered spreader design enables the operator to tip the spreader to one side, leveling the fertilizer in the hooper when it's running low. Additionally, you will have one less wheel to maintain and the weight will be reduced by 14 lbs.

  • Are the metal wheels better?

The metal wheels are stronger and offer advanced traction. If a pin is sheared, it won’t damage the wheel. These wheels give the battery powered spreader a maximum width of 25.5”.

  • How are the polymer wheels different?

The polymer wheels never rust, which ensures they remain easily removable. However, if a pin is sheared, the wheel normally will need to be replaced. The powered spreader width will increase by 1.5” with these wheels.

  • Why should I choose the gas spreader?

The gas powered spreader is our tried and true original spreader built for the commercial industry.

  • Why choose the electric spreader?

Our electric lawn spreaders are our lowest-priced option. They have no engine noise and don’t require gas, oil, or hydraulic fluid.

  • Why choose the hybrid spreader?

The hybrid spreader doesn’t have a battery to charge, runs quieter than the traditional gas spreader, all while coming in at a lower price. To learn more about our hybrid self propelled powered spreader, call us today!

  • How long will the electric spreader run on a single charge?

The 18Ah batteries will be more than adequate for our electric fertilizer spreaders to handle a one-acre yard. The optional 50ah LiFePO4 battery enables all-day use.

  • How long does it take to charge the batteries on the electric spreader?

The batteries for our electric lawn spreaders may take between 4-9 hours to top off.

  • Does the electric spreader come with a charger?

Yes, our electric lawn spreaders come with a charger.
