Our History
Power Spreader is a locally and family owned business based in Sarasota, FL. The owner of Power Spreaders, Michael Falconer, is also a lawn care professional. He is a certified PCO with over 30 years of experience spraying and applying fertilizer for both residential and commercial properties.
For years, Michael believed that somebody would come out with a spreader that would work for the industry. Not being an enthusiast of big ride-on spreaders, he had to do something to fill the need of both his company and the industry.
In 2012, Michael decided to work on building a spreader without completely reinventing the wheel. He needed his technicians to be productive every day without physically wearing them out (Employee Retention). He also needed a spreader that was durable and strong enough to power through thick St. Augustine lawns in Florida.
It had to be smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable than the spreaders available. Michael continued refining the spreader for two more years before selling the first spreader.
